An adult? Who? Me?

Constantly, when you grow up, you start thinking; now I’m becoming an adult? When I do permitted to myself change from a kid into an adult? Or in the worst case, how I turned from a cute kid to a bored adult?

Well, it can’t be that bad or in that way, but the question still there. From a biological stand point and adult is when you are able to procreate, from a legal stand point you become an adult when you turn 18 and in some countries 21 years old, from the society point of view you’re and adult when you have “maturity” and if we’re honest that simple word can generate another essay to explain it. However, all this info leaves us with more doubts than at the beginning.

What I can say and from my experience is that you don’t become an adult just because you are 18 year or 30, 40 even 50 or more, neither if you have one child or a dozen or if you have a big close beard or has stop playing with toys, even if years ago you don’t believe anymore in Santa Claus of in the Tooth Fairy.

You know you’re an adult when you realize that life is not a fairytale but you can still have a happy ending, when you realize that the love doesn’t turn the earthly world where we live into a sweet pink world but you are able to paint a big pink heart in the chest of your partner every morning, when you still having fun with simple things as how you did when you were a little kid no matter how rich or poor you are. But the most important thing, and be careful reading this, is that you become and adult when you realize that every single dream from your childhood can be materialize it completely by having just a little work on them.

Landscape

The dock that is the main thing in my scene is just in the middle surrounded by water color turquoise. Although there are some clouds in the sky, the scene looks perfectly sunny with the enough sun light to appreciate the dock and the water. In the distance you can notice two or three rectangular palapas above the water. And not so far, at the end of the principal dock, there is one big rectangular palapa. The landscape is just amazing that invites you to swim deep into the water. Maybe, getting out of the office and running to take the first airplane you would enjoy this beautiful paradise this weekend.

Thanks for reading my assessment.
Here is the link to the scene I just described. Looks the same as you imagined?

Thanks again for Reading and here you have my twitter

Week 4: Journal 1

Hi guys,

Here I am doing my writing activity while im in a really boring meeting at my job. :D

Module 1 Writing Activity
In your writing journal, begin to practice building sentences with adjective and adverbial clauses. As in Unit 3, you may find it helpful to be observing a scene in nature while you compose sentences. Using the lists associated with each of these types of clauses, write at least three (3) sentences including adjective clauses and three (3) sentences including adverbial clauses. Underline the adjective and adverbial clauses. Consider their function in both as a modifier and an aspect of your writing style.

Adjective Subordinate Clauses

Blanca, who is our facility girl, gave us the latest report early morning.
Arturo, who was in the party yesterday, has a hangover.
I still remember when I received my car.
Juan and Karla, which are a nice couple, will be celebrate their anniversary.

Adverb Subordinate Clauses

Unless you bring your personal beverages, you wont be able to drink anything.
Rather than run in the rain, you should walk with an umbrella.
If you do excersise, you will be a healthy person.
Before you buy the new TV, you need to do a market research.

My first Assessment after a couple of years.

Well, here I am doing my duties. :)

Drawing from your observation notes and sentences from Journal Writing Assignments 1 and 2, write a description of the scene you have observed. Use action verbs and active voice in your sentences. Also, keep your verbs in the same tense and maintain correct subject-verb agreement. Your description should consist of 8 or more sentences.

(1) Yesterday, I went to the bank. (2)The first thing I did was to pick my turn from the machine. (3) On my way to the line, (4) my cellphone rang so loudly that (5) I just turned it off to avoid any disturbance. (6) After that embarrassing moment, (7) the girl next to me started talking with his boyfriend a bunch of silly things that (8) I preferred to took a magazine and (9) read it carefully in order to stop listening their conversation.

(10) After 15 minutes of too much patient, (11) my wait in the line was over and (12)I moved straight right to the cashier. (13) I made one deposit and (14)the cashier gave me a big smile.

What u think?

Week 3, Module 2 Writing Activity

Now let´s do the activity for Module 2.
In your journal, continue your observation list of the scene you observed for Unit 3, Journal Assignment 1 by noting several vivid action verbs. Revise some of your sentences using action verbs and/or write 2-3 new sentences with action verbs. Try not to use any of the forms of “to be” (is, are, was, etc.).  Underline the action verbs in your sentences. Again, you will want to keep all of these sentences at hand as you do the peer reviewed writing at the end of the unit.

The coins dropped into the trash.
Alex walk near to me.
Today my boss told me to change my password.
After receive the prize.
The dog wear a nice T-shirt.

Week 3, Module 1 Writing Activity

Hello guys!

I know, I know, this post is a little bit late (actually too late) but here you have my activity.

Observe a scene, preferably in a crowded, busy, or public place. List the activities that you see occurring and the actors (those doing the activity). Write 5-6 sentences that use your observation list and underline the subjects of your sentences. Write a few sentences experimenting with using different types of pronouns from the tables in Unit 3.  You will want to keep all of these sentences at hand as you do the writing activities for this unit.

I am reading the latest tweets in my cellphone.
She was the last one in the line.
These people are upset.
Your turn will be till the next hour.
Whose is this wallet?
None of these kids have a traditional toy.
Everything is a mess.
Waiting till the next cashier.
To play with the next one hair.

What you think?

Good grammar?
Can you guess where I am?
